Our league consists of a total of 32 golfers. We have scheduled TGL nights on Monday and Tuesday. There are 8 two person teams scheduled to play each night at our pre-arranged tee time of 4:15. There is a total of 14 weeks in the season, broken out into two 7 week halves . Four teams from each night will qualify to play for the Team Championship at the Year End Tournament. So if you do the math, that makes a total of 8 teams competing for the Team Championship at the Year End Tournament.

For you returning golfers, the scoring method is still the same. The matches are medal (stroke) play, and are handicapped. Points are awarded for each individual match, with 2 points going to the winner and 1 if there is a tie. In addition, the team earns points based on their total team net, with the low team net score (best score), earning 7 points, and the high team net score (worst score) earning 0. In the event of a tie, the total points for the places will be divided equally among the teams in question. For example, if the 2nd and 3rd place teams have the same net score, both will earn 5.5 points each (6 + 5 / 2).

If you're new to the league, don't worry, we do all the work. You just play golf. You'll figure it out a few weeks into the season. Of course, don't hesitate to ask your captains, a committee member, or any of the returning TGL members.
